JXD S7800B Review: A 7-Inch Android Gaming Handheld with RK3188 Chip

Overview

The JXD S7800B is a versatile Android gaming handheld designed for retro gaming enthusiasts. The device sports a 7-inch IPS display with 1280x800 resolution and 5-point capacitive touch. It offers multiple control methods: physical buttons (D-pad, ABXY, dual analog sticks, L/R triggers), touchscreen, and 3-axis gyroscope.

Who It Is For

The JXD S7800B is ideal for retro gaming fans who want a dedicated handheld for emulating classic consoles like PSP, NDS, PS1, N64, arcade (FBA/MAME, CPS1-3, Neo-Geo), GBA, SFC, MD, FC, and WSC. It also runs Android apps and games, making it suitable for users who prefer physical controls over touchscreens. The large 7-inch screen and HDMI output make it a good choice for gaming on the go or connecting to a TV.

Buying Notes

As an older device (Android 4.2.2), the S7800B may not support the latest Android apps or games. Performance is adequate for emulation up to PSP and N64, but more demanding systems may struggle. The 5000mAh battery provides decent playtime. Check for availability and pricing from second-hand sellers, as this model is discontinued. Ensure the unit includes the OTG cable and charger for full functionality.
